Avinashilingam varsity to host technical entrepreneurship programme

The faculty of engineering of Avinashilingam University for Women would host Technical Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) on Drying Technology for the Production of Value Added Foods for development of entrepreneurial skills. Department of Food Processing and Preservation Technology would host the six-week programme free of cost from September 1.

Women between 18 and 35 years of age with a degree or diploma in any discipline are eligible to register and attend the food processing training, said a press release from the university.

The programme includes orientation and industrial training, industrial visits and market survey on ‘Drying Technology for the Production of Value Added Foods’ followed by entrepreneurship and schemes of assistance, project selection and feasibility, consolidation of business ideas, soft skills developments, project report preparation and management aspects.
