City college win Go-Kart championship

Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology emerged winner at the Go-kart Championship 2016 held here recently.

About 1,200 students and 54 teams from 17 States participated in this four-day event. Kumaraguru College of Technology came second.

The event also gave corporate houses an opportunity to hand-pick best talent in this field. As many as 18 students were recruited by top firms such as DCM Engineering Ltd, Punjab, Tech Imperial Limited, Punjab.

The winners were given a cash prize of Rs. 80,000 while the runners up Rs. 40,000 cash. Apart from the cash awards, prizes were also given for best driver, best plan award, light vehicle award, best endurance award and people choice award.

Imperial Society of Innovation Engineers (ISIE) and SAE India club of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET) organized the event that was held at the Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology.
