Giridhar Kamath completes 400 KM run for a cause

A runner, magician, and an ardent supporter of rural education, 45-year-old Giridhar Kamath completed his 400 kilometre duathlon between Bengaluru and Coimbatore, within a span of six days. He did a 200 kilometre barefoot run, and a 200 kilometre cycling feat.
Kamath’s duathlon ended at the Isha Vidhya School in Coimbatore. He says he undertook this duathlon to support Isha Vidhya, an educational initiative for rural children, launched by Isha Foundation’s Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.
“While looking for a cause to run for, I came across the Isha Vidhya initiative. Education for rural children is something that is very close to my heart. I have undertaken this marathon because I believe strongly in what Isha Vidhya does,” Giridhar said. Through this run, he hopes to raise funds up to Rs.5 lakhs to support scholarships for students.
Kamath celebrated the successful completion of his run by hosting a magic show for the children of the Isha Foundation. Last year, Giridhar completed an 8,000 kilometre run, equivalent to the distance between Bengaluru and London.
