Known to support various social service projects and causes, the young members of Texcity Annets Club put their best foot forward and organized the Kids Carnival recently in the city. The intention was to raise funds to support children suffering from cancer and autism. Their partners in this noble cause were the Rotary Club of Texcity Coimbatore and Texcity Anns Club.

ALG Matriculation School was the venue. The carnival had everything that kids love. Well attended by children between the ages of 6 and 12, the carnival saw about 170 participants. The magician left the kids mesmerized with his tricks. The kids thoroughly enjoyed doing the Zumba dance. Another major attraction was the inflated jumbo balloon. In a corner of the venue was balloon-making for children. The vendor entertained the kids by making balloons of various sizes.

There was plenty of refreshment in the form of sandwiches, samosas, cutlets, smileys and nuggets. Around 20 children from Seva Nilayam orphanage in Coimbatore participated in this carnival. No kid went home empty-handed as each of them was given a specially designed t-shirt. About 50 kids won the lucky draw and prizes.

Encouraged by the success of the fundraising event, the members of the Texcity Annets Club are now planning to organize a clyclothon, where they will get the participating children to cycle for a cause.
