Law student petitions Commissioner against policeman

A fourth year law college student from Coimbatore petitioned Police Commissioner A Amalraj against a police personnel for allegedly beating him up on Monday night near his hostel.
According to P Yogeshkumar, a tenant of a MKR Boys’ Hostel at Saibaba Colony, he was reportedly abused by N Vadivel, a policeman from the Saibaba Colony Police Station while trying to help an injured man near his hostel.
Yogeshkumar, has claimed in his petition to COP on Tuesday that Vadivel, along with four other policemen, beat him up. A complaint has been filed with the Saibaba Colony Police Station. The case is being investigated.
