452 illegal water connections disconnected

The City Corporation has disconnected drinking water connection of 452 properties in the last 25 days.
According to an official press release, officials started identifying and disconnecting illegal connections from October 27. This includes about 168 connections from south, 99 from north, 86 from east, 59 from central and 40 from west part of the city.
On Wednesday, 36 connections were disconnected – 30 (south), 4 (east ) and one each (centre and north zone).
Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan, in a statement, said the action would continue in future too.
