Two boys drown in quarry pond

Two boys, both 11 year olds, today met a watery death in a pond, where they had gone to have a bath, near Avanashi in Tirupur district.
The boys, Navanithan and Vinod, studying in standard VII in the Government School,
had gone for taking bath in an abandoned pond, attached to a quarry at Perianaickenpudur
this noon.
However, both drowned and suffocated to death, police said. The floating bodies were recovered and sent for post mortem to the Government Hospital.
