20 acres encroached land retrieved since Nov

With retrieval of 65 cents of encroached land valued at Rs 5 crore in the last two days, the corporation has so far
retrieved 20 acres valued at Rs 223 crore across five zones since November.
The officials during raids on March 10 and 11 retrieved 65.04 cents of land encroached by individuals and organisations in three zones, a statement from Corporation Commissioner Dr Vijaya Karthikeyan said.
The corporation retrieved 5.34 acres worth Rs 64.7 crore in November, 3.77 acre valued at Rs 55.45 crore in December, 2.72 acres in January worth Rs 26.20 crore and Rs71.95 crore worth 7.66 acres in February, coming under five zones of the corporation, he said.
