CITU office torched, vehicles damaged

Unidentified persons torched the office of CITU Motor Transport Workers Union in Tirupur, damaging three motorcycles, among other things.
According to police, the fire in the office was noticed around midnight yesterday and some workers managed to put it off.
Police suspect the incident could be the handiwork of a few persons, who have started a rival union. Further investigations are on, they said.
