Puthiya Tamizhakam today sought the intervention of CBI to investigate the reason as to what led the Tiruchengode DSP, Vishnu Priya to resort to the extreme step.

The very suicide note, purportedly written by the deceased raised
many questions, since it was not not the language of an educated and senior police official and appeared to be written under pressure, Puthiya Tamizhakam founder leader and MLA,Dr K Krishnasamy told reporters here.

Stating that there was suspicion among the public that Vishnu Priya was not
allowed to probe the death of a Dalit youth Gokulraj and the investigation was diverted from the right track by senior police officials, Krishnasamy said that
considering the contents of suicide note, it was better to hand over the case to CBI.

He also said that there could be the possible hands of some paid goons from Southern Districts of Tamil Nadu, behind the suicide, which should also be probed.

Moreover, the observation of S K Kaul, Chief Justice of Madras
High Court that there was no confidence in Tamil Nadu police, was also a pointer to hand over the case to Central Investigation Agency, Krishnasamy added.
