Citizens Voice Club of Coimbatore has appealed to the Railway Minister to introduce an overnight train between Coimbatore and Bengaluru.

In a petition emailed to the Minister, who is arriving here tomorrow, the club also appealed for installation of automatic ticket vending machines for issuing platform tickets on either sides of the station, an information board at the western side of the Coimbatore railway station and proper toilet facility at Coimbatore north railway station.

It also wanted the Minister to ensure that no parking fee was collected from vehicle owners who come to the station just to drop the passengers.

“We have mailed the list of demands to the Minister. A representative from the club will try to meet the Minister when he is here,” said C.M. Jayaraman, President of Citizens Voice Club.
