Karwar: Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Anantkumar Hegde on Wednesday gave a dressing down to Zilla Panchayat officials here for attending a review meeting without preparation.

“Do you think we conduct the meeting as we have no other work to do? Why are you so casual for government work? Officers should complete their homework before attending the meeting,” Hegde was quoted as saying by Deccan Herald.

According to the report, the minister lost his cool when told about the progress of projects being implemented in Khanapur and Kittur divisions. “You have been repeating the same answer for the last four years. Ask your executive engineer to come to the meeting. None of you should leave the venue till he comes for the meeting,” he said.
