10 year RI for rape of 3-year old

The Mahila Court here today sentenced an orderly of an Army officer, to undergo 10 years Rigorous Imprisonment, for sexually assaulting the three-year old daughter of the officer, some three years ago.
The prosecution case was that Bhupendra Sing Bisht was arrested on charges of raping the three-year old daughter of the officer of the Defence Service Staff College at Wellington, where he was working as an attendant, on July 19, 2012.
The girl’s mother came to know about the incident after some time, when she found the daughter crying and bleeding. She immediately lodged a complaint with the Wellington police, based on which Bisht was arrested.
Judge M. Sarvamangala sentenced the accused to 10-year RI for the crime and also imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000, failing which he would undergo another year of RI.
