SIMA felicitates former Chairman KV Srinivasan on becoming Head of International Textile Manufacturers’ Federation

Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) felicitated its former Chairman K.V Srinivasan, who recently took over as President of International Textile Manufacturing Federation (ITMF), a non-governmental trade organization in Switzerland which embraces more than 90% of the world’s textile production.

K.V Srinivasan is the Managing Director of Premier Mills Pvt Ltd., and he served as chairman of various prominent textile-association including SIMA, SITRA and TEXPROCIL previously. His chairmanship is for 2 years. The Textile Industry Associations in India feel that under his leadership ITMF will scale greater heights and do extremely well.

The association expressed that the industry is going through tougher times across the world. With the support from ITMF’s other key officials like Dr.Christian Schindler, this new leadership from ITMF will give a clear global perspective and ways to move forward.Besides this, the Indian Textile Industry members expects that it will have lot of information and knowledge to the benefit of the industry.

The industry hopes that with Srinivasan at the helm, ITMF will convey what is happening around the world associated to textiles, how the industry is moving forward and what are the changes that are taking place in the world which can give a great impetus to the entire industry.
