36-hour-old infant found abandoned neat Coimbatore

Coimbatore : People at Annur near here woke up to a shock on Saturday finding a 36-hour-old female baby abandoned in a bush near a theatre
The shocked public heard the cries of the baby, wrapped in a white cloth and immediately alerted the ambulance and police, who rushed to the spot and recovered the infant. It has been admitted it to the Government Hospital at Annur and is under intensive care there, police said.
Investigation is on whether the child was abandoned as it was not born out of wedlock or because it was a girl child. Police have begun investigation.
