70-year-old woman robbed of two sovereigns of chain

A 70-year -old woman was relieved of her chain, weighing two sovereigns, by an unidentified person.
Hasina Beevi, wife of Abdul Kalam of Rowtharpalayam in Thanjavur, was on her way to a pawnbroker’s shop at Aadakkara Street, with the chain in her handbag when the motorbike borne man snatched the bag and sped away.
Based on her complaint, Thanjavur East police have registered a case and investigating.
