Another estate worker trampled to death

In a yet another case of man-animal conflict, an estate worker was trampled to death in a span of two days. A 56-year-old woman was killed by an elephant in the early hours on Sunday near Gudalur here.

The victim, Masi of Kannampalli near Cherampadi of Gudalur Taluk was reportedly killed by a wild elephant early in the morning near her house. Masi was living alone and was unmarried.

It may be noted that Venkatachalam, a 52 year old estate worker was trampled to death by a wild jumbo on Saturday.
