Attempt to sexually assault two-year old girl

A taxi driver was arrested today on charges of attempting to sexually assault a two-year old girl in nearby Tirupur.
Murugesan of Vijayapuram had taken the girl of his neighbourhood to temple, with the permission of parents, police said.
As the child was continuously crying after returning from temple, the parents took her to a hospital, where the doctors told them that an attempt to sexually assault was made on her.
Based on a complaint by the child’s father, Murugesan was arrested and further investigations were on.
