Coimbatore : Autodesk, a global leader in 3D design technology, aims to enable the design-led transformation of businesses and design professionals in manufacturing, construction and infrastructure of Tamil Nadu.

It is working closely with its partners in Coimbatore such as Spectra Systems to help businesses adopt advanced 3D design technology such as AutoCAD version 2020.

Tamil Nadu has a favorable ecosystem for industrial development and the State budget this year had an allocation of Rs 2,747 crore for the industries.

There is also an intent to develop the proposed Kochi-Coimbatore commercial corridor into a major international manufacturing hub.

The State Government is planning a second greenfield airport for Chennai as well as expansion of six existing airports – Madurai, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Tiruchy and Chennai.

“Modern design technologies can accelerate the timely completion of such large-scale infrastructure projects and enable sustainable construction, waste reduction, optimisation of planning and design and overall reduction of cost and time,” said Autodesk Country Manager for PSEB (Platform Solutions and Emerging Business) in India and SAARC Arun D’Suza in a statement on Wednesday.

Autodesk was bringing its flagship design solutions to strengthen the businesses of the SMEs and MSMEs in Coimbatore and other cities by enabling them to design and make better sustainable products and infrastructure, he added.
