Avinashilingam University to reopen on November 23

The protest-raveged Avinashilingam University for Women will reopen on November 23. The university was closed a fortnight ago after agitations by the students and the faculty.
Trouble began when proposal was presented to cease the UGC affiliation and convert the university into a self-financed one. The debate is still on, but the university’s management has requested the students to attend the classes and write the exams.
The university has also asked the parents of the students to convince them to attend the classes.
