Basket Ball: KSEB beat TN Juniors

COIMBATORE: Income Tax Delhi defeated Coimbatore District Basket Ball Association (CBDA) 87-78 in the inaugural match of 53rd All India Basketball Championship for Men for Nachimuthu Gounder Cup which began here on Saturday.
In the women section for CRI Pumps Trophy, KSEB Thiruvananthapuram defeated Tamil Nadu Juniors 74-34, with winners leading 36-17 at half time.
Taxmen trailed 37-40 at the half time, but rallied well to win the game by just nine points.
While Vishal Kumar and Rachit played well for the winners putting 23 and 16 points, Vinith Kumar potted 19 and G Gerard 21 points for the losers. The matches were delayed by 90 minutes due to rains.
