Burglars loot 30 sovereign gold; 1 lakh in cash

As much as 30 sovereign of gold jewelry and 1 lakh cash was stolen from the house of a business man in LIG Colony here on Friday.
According to sources, Jayachandiran, a businessman was residing at LIG Colony near Sundarapuram with his wife Chitra and his children. While he had gone out of station for business, his wife and children have reportedly ventured out for shopping, leaving their house unguarded.
On return, his wife had found that the back door had been broken and valubles stolen. A case was registered with the Sundarapuram police in this regard and they have started the investigation with the help of forensic experts.
