Their website is under construction, but Sausage House, located in Gandhipuram, also Coimbatore’s first exclusive sausage retailer, has opened its door for business today.
This is a start-up to begin with, and it also is a one-of-its-kind place in Coimbatore city. Simon Henry, a city-based businessman who owns and runs a car accessory showroom and a sports accessory shop, is the sole proprietor of Sausage House.
Sausage House sells a variety of sausages from different brands under one roof. Their range of products include chicken breakfast sausage, chicken cheese and chili, chicken Tikka sausage, breakfast bacon, chicken ham cold cut, and cocktail sausage, among others. They are all ready-to-cook products.
“I’m a Christian and I’m a foodie. I found that the city has a serious dearth of places that sell sausages. I decided to make up for this and so I launched Sausage House,” Simon said.
The inauguration of this exclusive store was a low-key affair, with focus clearly on the products.
We are told that the products sold by Sausage House do not contain soya, lactose, or artificial colours. About 90 percent of the products are ready-to-cook and cold storage is used to preserve the meats. Its owner also entertains requests from customers who like to have fresh meat. “I need a day’s advance notice to source and sell fresh meat.” Simon informed.
As part of his future business plans, Simon intends to open an outlet that sells ready-to-eat sausages in Coimbatore city.
