Coimbatore Vizha Marathon Over 5000 + Runners Participated to importance of leading a healthy Covai

The 5th Edition of the Coimbatore Vizha Marathon was held on Jan 7th (Sunday) as a part of the 16th edition of Coimbatore Vizha.
This is the first Marathon of 2024 in Coimbatore, and it is held to highlight the importance of leading a healthy life.
The Marathon saw 5000+ participants celebrating the Spirit of Covai in an energetic way from as early as 6 a.m. Participants from as young as 5 years old to elders took part in the event.
The Marathon was split into 3 categories based on the distance – 10 Kms. beginning at 6 a.m., 5 Kms. starting at 6.30 a.m., and 2.5 Kms at 7 a.m. All the runs started and ended at Nehru Stadium.
Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan flagged off the 10 Kms. event and also participated in it along with Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Padi and other participants.
The participants were provided T-shirt, Medals, Breakfast and E-Certificate of Participation.
