Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan has directed the revenue officials to speed up the collection of taxes in order to boost the revenue of the Corporation.

Presiding over a meeting on Wednesday, he also urged the officials to give special focus to the anti-dengue drive in the city. Special prizes, certificates and incentives will be given to those officials who excel in the task assigned to them, he said.

“The number of dengue cases has considerably come down recently. It is only right to appreciate the concerned officials and departments which have been playing a major role in preventing dengue from spreading,” the Commissioner added.

Deputy Commissioner B. Gandhimathi and senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
