The BJP Urban President R. Nandakumar on Tuesday asked the DMK, whether it was ready to contest the Corporation elections alone without any alliance.

The logic behind his challenge was the arrest of workers of nine political parties, led by DMK, during the demonstration on Monday, where only 2,535 were arrested that too in 73 of 100 wards.

When the BJP had staged similar demonstration, protesting against the Corporation in 2016, the participation was more than 3,000 in 97 wards and arrest was 1,996, he claimed. “Which is stronger party,” he asked.

In view of this BJP is ready to fight the elections alone. Is DMK ready to contest alone, without any allies, Nandakumar said.
