Dileep bail plea put off to Aug 22

Kottayam: Kerala High Court of Friday postponed the hearing on the bail petition of actor Dileep, accused in the actor abduction case, to August 22.

This was following the prosecution prayer in lieu of the absence of Director General of Prosecutions Manjeri Sreedharan Nair, who is out to attend the funeral of former advocate general MK Damodaran. Dileep’s lawyer Raman Pillai was present in the court.

The did not object to deferring the hearing. Dileep was arrested on charges of plotting the abduction and abuse of a South Indian actor in a moving vehicle on February 17.
