Disappointed with the delay in providing Aavin membership cards for the visually-challenged, a couple protested in front of Coimbatore Aavin office.

Mariappan, and his wife Santhiya, are both visually challenged. They live in Vellakinari and have a two-year-old child named Riyanth. They have been applying for membership for more than a year now, but there was no response from the Aavin authorities.

Annoyed by this, the family began protesting in front of the Aavin booth located at R.S. Puram. They ended the protest only after the officials came to the spot and promised to get them the membership card.
