DMK men who will go to jail after CBI probe in gutka scam: SP Velumani

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration S P Velumani today said that it will be DMK men who have to go to jail after the CBI Inquiry on the gutka scam.
Replying to a specific question on the remarks by Stalin yesterday that AIADMK ministers and some top police officials will be behind the bar if CBI conducted a fair probe, Velumani told reporters that it will be DMK men who will be punished and go to jail.
He said that no minister or MLA was instigating police to register cases against any political party in any district. Moreover police continue to carry out search and seize banned tobacco products across the State and were registering cases, Velumani said.
Velumani, who reviewed the drinking water supply and other development scheme with senior concerned department officials, said that problems related to drinking water were attended to immediately on complaints.
