Elephant found dead under mysterious circumstances

Forest officials have recovered the carcass of a female elephant in an estate in Valparai. The region comes under the Anamalai Tiger Reserve (ATR) area in Coimbatore.
According to the police, the dead elephant is about 10 years old. Since the death had occurred under mysterious circumstances, the officials have launched an investigation.
