Entrepreneurs Summit organized by city college

With an intention of bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and students who aspire to become entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) and SREC-Alumni Association (SREC-AA) of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College joined hands with CII-Young Indians, Coimbatore Chapter to organize the Entrepreneurs Summit.

Around 50 entrepreneurs displayed their business products and services. The entrepreneurs also introduced their products and services to the students.

At the summit, Ravi.K.Mantha, author, investor and public policy advocate from Hyderabad emphasized on the fact that health is wealth. He spoke on the importance of staying healthy in order to run a business successfully. Author of the book titled ‘The Baby Elephant Diet – the modern Indian guide to eating right’ also emphasized on the need for eating healthy food especially the ones with fibre content.

The various financial support systems that are available for entrepreneurs was brought to light by Sriram Sankaran, Chairman and Managing Director, Synchron Group, Coimbatore in his session on “New Age Entrepreneurship Support System”.

In an interactive session Arjun Prakash, Director, Effica Automation Limited, Coimbatore and Dhruv Kumar. S, Founder, icliniq.com, Coimbatore shared their thoughts on the importance of having a business vision. A representative from knowledge partner Native Angels Network and Chair, CII Yi, Coimbatore Chapter, Swathy Rohit also participated in the summit.

Dr.N.R.Alamelu, Principal outlined the importance of alumni interaction and the steps taken by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among students.
