Father-son duo killed, mother and daughter hurt in car mishap

Coimbatore : A man and his six-year old son were killed and his wife and daughter injured seriously, when their car hit a roadside tree near Sulur on the outskirts early today.
Thrilokchandar was returning with his family to the city from his native place when the mishap occurred. He lost control of the vehicle and dashed against a tree at Kurumapalayam around 6.30 am, police said.

While Thrilokchandar (45), working in a private bank here, and son Daniel died on the spot, wife Ezhilarasi (38) and daughter Shivani (9) were admitted to a nearby private hospital, they added.
