Female voters continue to outnumber male in the new list

Women continue to outnumber male voters in Coimbatore district, according to the electoral list released here today.Of the 28,29,570 total voters, there are 14,02,986 male voters and 14,26,298 female voters, 286 others (third gender), the list released by the district collector, T N Hariharan said.With a cut off date of January one 2018, the name of 62,459 voters were deleted, with 14,830 voters have died, 35,086 transferred and 12,543 double entries, it said.
The district has 10 assembly constituencies with 2,892 polling centres.
