Five killed in road accident near Dharmapuri

Five people travelling in an SUV vehicle were killed when their car collided with a truck at Karakodahalli near Dharmapuri district today evening. The cleaner of the truck died at the hospital.
The car, bearing Karnataka registration numbers, was headed towards Krishnagiri when its front tyre exploded. The vehicle jumped over the central median and rammed head on with a truck that was coming on the other side.
There were six people travelling in the car. Five died on the spot. One woman was admitted to the Dharmapuri hospital in an unconscious condition. The cleaner of the truck was the sixth victim of the accident.
A case has been registered and investigations are on.
