Four killed, 20 injured in bus-van collision

Four persons were killed and 20 others injured when a van and an Omni bus collided head-on near Udumalpet in nearby Tirupur district, today.

Four persons, yet to be identified, died on the spot, while the injured are being brought and admitted to the Government Hospital here.

The bus was coming to the city from Marthandam and the van proceeding to Dindigul from here, when the mishap occured at Ragalpavi junction on National Highway, police said.

Police and public rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital. Further investigations are on, they said.
