Four killed, 20 injured in collision

Four persons were killed and 20 others injured , in a head on collision between a tourist van and a lorry near Palladam in Tirupur district.
The bus was heading towards Somanur in Coimbatore from Vellakoil, while the lorry from the opposite direction, when the accident occurred on the Tiruchirapalli National Highway, police said.
The lorry driver and three van passengers died in the mishap and the injured were admitted to the Palladam government hospital, they said. The deceased were yet to be identified and further investigations were on.
