Gujarati Samaj organises blood donation camp

Around 50 members of the Gujarati Samaj today donated blood as part of the Sadakal Gujarat Programme to commemorate the platinum jubilee celebration of Shree Coimbatore Gujarati Samaj.
The Samaj, along with the Indian Medical Association, had organised the blood donation camp at the Kikani School.The oldest donor was 58-year-old Samir K. Dali. Many youths enthusiastically came forward to donate blood that would be sent to laboratory for tests.
“After all the tests are done, we will store the blood in the IMA blood bank and supply it to hospitals as per their requirement,” Dr. Kirthika, Medical Officer from the IMA, said.
IMA Blood Bank was established in March 2005.
