Indian Society for Technical Education was inaugurated at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. A.K. Natesan, Chairman, ISTE, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, was the chief guest.

V. Kumar Chinnaiyan, Head of the Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, welcomed the gathering. K. Bommanna Raja, Principal, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, presided over the function. A. Antonie Baskar, Senior HR Manager, Kirloskar, Coimbatore, and M. Kathirvel, Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering, shared a few words with those gathered.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest motivated the first year students to come up with new and innovative ideas. He asked students to pursue their education with the spirit of engineering. The guest of honour released the Institution Certificate of ISTE.

In his address to the students, Antonie Baskar encouraged the students to fix a target and make a plan on how to achieve their target. The talks by the various dignitaries proved to be valuable for the students. S. Vivekanandan, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, proposed a vote of thanks.
