Sankara Eye Hospital at Saravanampatti, Coimbatore organised the Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathy Oration under the name ‘Jayendram’ on 7th December 2024.

Mr Venu Srinivasan, Chairman Emeritus, TVS Motor Co Ltd delivered the oration.

Mr S V Balasubramaniam, Chairman of the Foundation welcomed the gathering. Dr R V Ramani Founder and Managing Trustee of the Foundation recalled the continuous guidance and blessings of Shri Jayendra Saraswathy at various stages of the organisation.

In his talk, Venu Srinivasan spoke about his family, from whom he imbibed a service- oriented attitude, and highlighted TVS’s philanthropic efforts for societal development, particularly in rural areas and women’s infrastructure. He emphasized the core philosophy of being customer-centric.

Srinivasan also discussed the importance of treating both customers and employees well, stressing the need to value them. He highlighted the leadership qualities a leader should possess and emphasized the role of innovation and creativity in meeting customer needs.

Furthermore, he urged a focus on longevity and sustainability of organisations He noted that failing once is acceptable. It is crucial to learn from failure and improve in the future. He also advised setting clear targets and planning for setbacks.

He stressed the need to keep the organization young and agile for better growth and added that valuing customers helps to motivate them to stay loyal to the brand.
