Kerala cops launch 4 apps for better policing

Kottayam: Kerala police have launched four mobile apps on an experimental basis to help people ensure their safety and tackle traffic issues.

Named Raksha, Citizen Safety, Traffic Guru and Know Your Jurisdiction, these apps will get their final shape based on the suggestions of the people. Suggestions can be sent until October 3 to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

They can be downloaded from the play store. ‘Raksha’ has details including phone numbers of SHOs to DGP, while ‘Citizen Safety’ is meant for the safety of lone travellers. The photo of the vehicle along with its registration number can be sent through this app. The panic button in the app will alert the police.

‘Know Your Jurisdiction’ will help in Knowing the jurisdiction of a particular place. ‘Traffic Guru’ helps in assisting the drivers and vehicle users on various traffic issues.
