COIMBATORE: The total business of Karur Vysya Bank increased to Rs.1,02,863 crore as on 31st March 2018, registering a year on year growth of 8.12 per cent from Rs. 95,135 crore as on March 31 2017, backed by a robust credit growth of 10.95 per cent

Total advances grew by Rs. 4,538 crore from Rs. 41,435 crore to Rs. 45,973 crore and deposits have increased from Rs.53,700 crore to Rs. 56,890 crore, registering a growth of 5.94 per cent, according to results for the year ended March 31, 2018.

CASA deposits stood at Rs. 16,577 crore with a share of 29.14 per cent of total deposits, it said. Operating profit for the 12 month period ended 31st March 2018 increased by 13.11 per cent from Rs. 1571 crore to Rs.1777 crore, while net interest income increased by Rs.224 crore (10.80 per cent growth) from Rs.2,074 crore to Rs. 2,298 crore, even as other income increased by 15.09 per cent from Rs. 782 crore to Rs. 900 crore.

Net profit for the year ended March 31 2018 stood at Rs.346 crore (as against Rs. 606 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year).Gross NPA as on March 2018 was Rs 3,016 crore (6.56 per cent) and net NPA 4.16 per cent (Rs.1,863 crore), which were 3.58 per cent (Rs.1,484 crore) and 2.53 per cent (Rs.1,033 crore), respectively, on March 31 2017, it said.
