A land grabbing complaint was today lodged against a city ruling party MLA by his elder brother.

In a complaint to the District Collector Archana Patnaik, Velusamy alleged that his brother V.C. Arukutty, representing Kavundanpalayam, had grabbed 38 cents of his prime land in Kalapatti and sold to Ponnusamy for Rs. 2 crore.

Arukutty had forged the documents and went ahead with the deal without his knowledge. He urged the Collector to intervene and ensure that he got back his property, Velusamy said.

The AIADMK MLA was not available for comments.
