Coimbatore : A section of lawyers here on Thursday staged a demonstration here seeking to know the whereabouts of activist S Mugilan, who is reportedly missing for the last couple of days.

The lawyers have sought the police to trace the activist, who allegedly went missing while travelling to Madurai from Chennai after releasing a book on the Tuticorin firing incident, which killed 13 persons as part of agitation against Sterlite.

Expressing suspicion that Mugilan might have been kidnapped and kept under captivity, the advocates demanded the Government to direct the police to take immediate action to trace him.
