Man killed in road accident

A 65 year old man died after his bicycle was hit by a SUV in the early hours of Wednesday near Podanur.
According to sources, the deceased G.Shanmugham was reportedly riding his bicycle after going to Ayyapan temple near Podanur around 5.30 am in the morning. His bicycle was hit by the SUV and he sustained injuries on his head.
Even as K.T.Vibin (65) took Shanmugham to the hospital in his car, he had denied causing the accident.
However, Police have registered a case against Vibin after members of Hindu Munnani filed a complaint against him. The traffic wing of the city police are investigating the case.
