Milk vendor murder: daughter, friends held

Police today solved the mystery surrounding the murder of a milk vendor by arresting his daughter and her boyfriend.
Nagaraj of Chokkampudur was found dead near his farm in Nagamam on May 24 with multiple stab injuries.
A special team, that was formed to investigate the murder, watched the movements of his daughter Mahalakshmi a second year student of a private college.
Police came to know of her relationship with one Sateesh a private firm employee.
They took into custody four of Sateesh’s friends for questioning who confessed to the murder to help their friend.
Both Mahalakshmi and Sateesh surrendered before the fifth judicial magistrate, where Mahalakshmi stated that she was instrumental in killing her father as he was opposed to their relationship. The six were remanded to custody.
