Thamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam founder-president P. John Pandian criticised the DMK legislators for holding a mock assembly session outside the House.

Addressing the media persons in Thanjavur today, he said opposition parties have every right to point out and criticise the government’s mistakes. “But holding a mock session in an open area outside the Assembly is an act of indecency. This is tantamount to insulting the people who elected them,” he said.

“There are several avenues available for the suspended MLAs to get their grievances redressed if they were not allowed inside the Assembly. They can approach the courts too. I never expected that Stalin will stoop to such a level”, he added.

Responding to a query on the increased instances of honour killing, John Pandian said his party always condemned such killings. He urged the State Government to take a strong action and severely punish those who committed honour killing.
