Murder accused remanded for 15 days

Coimbatore : Satheesh Kumar, the accused in the murder of a 20-year-old girl near Pollachi two days ago, was today remanded for 15 days.
Satheesh Kumar was arrested last night and produced before Pollachi 2nd Judicial Magistrate, P Revathi, who remanded him for 15 days.
He is being brought and lodged in the Central Jail here.
The girl, a student of a private college here, went missing and was later found dead at on Tirupur-Dharapuram Road. The police zeroed in on Satheesh Kumar and arrested him.
Satheesh Kumar, police said, had confessed to the crime during questioning.
