Octogenarian dies of swine flu

An 80-year old woman today died of swine flu at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital here.

Muthammal, a resident of Sultanpet near Sulur on the outskirts, was suffering from fever and throat pain and was under treatment in a private hospital since November 30.

As her condition deteriorated, she was admitted to the CMCH last night. Doctors attending to her diagnosed her with Swine flu. Muthammal died this morning without responding to treatment.
