Police on the look out for chain snatchers

Tirupur police are trying to nab a chain snatcher who appeared in a busy market area in the district and snatched the gold chain of a staff working at the Office of the Police Commissioner.
The police have reportedly not registered an FIR but are nevertheless trying to get the accused who confronted the woman in a busy market area in broad day light. Radhamani who resides in Pappampatti Pirivu had been to the market to purchase vegetables. The man fled with two and half sovereigns of gold worth Rs 50,000. Investigations are on.
