PSG College of Arts and Science Celebrates Visual Communication Students’ Talent with Colors Photography and Art exhibition

The Visual Communication and Electronic Media Department of PSG College of Arts and Science hosted the inaugural Colors Photography and Art Exhibition on Thursday, showcasing the artistic talents of its students.

The exhibition, which featured a curated selection of exceptional photographs and paintings,was inaugurated by M. Senguttuvan, Principal (in-charge) of PSG College of Arts and Science. In his address, Principal Senguttuvan praised the rapid advancements in the media sector and commended the students for their creative contributions, which he noted are vital in delivering information to the public in innovative ways.

Special guests at the inauguration included renowned writer and Artist Jeevanandhan and celebrated Founder and Editor of The Pollachi Papyrus Pravin Shanmuganandham, who shared their insights with the audience. Pravin shared his interesting in wildlife photographs documented by him along with field insights to the student community. The exhibition also featured a competition to recognize outstanding student works.

In the painting competition, Shebin was awarded first prize, followed by Henry in second and Sahanar in third. In the photography category, Maha Swetha took home the first prize, Kowshik Ram secured second place, and Hariharan and Prarthana shared third place.

G. Radha, Head of the Department, along with faculty members organized the event. Following the inauguration, students from the college explored the exhibition, engaging with the vibrant artistic expressions on display.
